| Payroll Clerk (P/T-Perm) PAYROLL CLERK Part time Working 3 days per week in conjunction with the Payroll Coordinator, this position is responsible for processing and audit of both US and Canadian payroll; ensuring proper authorization is obtained for position and rate changes and assisting to report and audit the Company sponsored RRSP/401K plans. Friday, Monday and Tuesday are the preferred working days. Responsibilities: Assist Payroll Coordinator in processing payroll for both Canadian and US LQ Centres as well as Home Office Collect timesheets and check to ensure accuracy Ensure proper authorization obtained for changes in rate, position or termination etc Input payroll data from timesheets to computer system Check accuracy of payroll output e.g. payroll register Answer employees inquiries Assist Payroll Coordinator in performing year end functions such as reconciliation of T4 Summary (Canada) and W2 (US) File payroll records and legal documents Assist Payroll Coordinator with reporting and audit of Company sponsored RRSP/401K plans Assist Payroll Coordinator in preparation of manual cheques Other duties as assigned by Controller Education College Diploma Experience Minimum of 2 years experience in payroll administration is required General clerical experience in accounting department Experience using computerized payroll software required Competencies Ability to work independently Superb customer service and interpersonal skills Good communication skills Strong organizational skills Proficient in MS Office Working knowledge of Lotus 123 Keen sense of attention to details is mandatory for this role Versent Corporation ULC, parent of Laser Quest and Threshold Financial Technologies Inc., located near Toronto Pearson Airport, is a growing, privately owned company and offers its employees a caring company culture; complimentary passes to play our great game; competitive compensation and an on-site work-out room.
