Printing Press Operator - (2 Colour Small Offset - Quickmaster, Ryobi 3302M) Printing Press Operator - (2 Colour Small Offset - Quickmaster, Ryobi 3302M) Employment Type: Part-time, casual position, potentially leading to full-time. Position Overview: •Primary responsibilities will be to perform all duties required to operate and maintain a two-colour offset press and related equipment to meet the needs of our clientele and production schedule •This position determines sequence of operations by studying batch sheets and specifications. Prepare equipment for production by recognizing product and setting equipment to meet product specifications •Regulates production by setting and adjusting controls as required •Produces product by operating various shop equipment •Resolves production problems by altering process to meet additional specifications •Supports operations and contributes to team results and effectiveness and workflow efficiency by rotating duties as needed •Maintains specifications by observing operations; trouble shooting and detecting malfunctions; inspecting product; adjusting controls; replacing blades, etc.; clean and perform routine maintenance •Maintains company quality standards and service levels by meeting or exceeding departmental standards •Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Requirements: •A minimum of 3-5 years experience in utilizing a two colour Small Offset Press •Print jobs on a Ryobi 3302M or a Heidelberg Quickmaster to print various high-end projects •The ability to mix inks as per Pantone formula guide •Excellent communication skills with ability to think in a consultative way •Possesses excellent time management skills •The ability to meet multiple deadlines in a detail-driven environment is crucial •Ability to work with minimal supervision •Burning desire to learn new technologies and expand your expertise •This position is suited for someone who is enthusiastic, customer service and team oriented, possess the flexibility to adapt to changing demands and pressures as required and acquire a lot of initiative and creativity •Any necessary duties in a small shop environment including some bindery and maintaining the general appearance and organization of the shop area •Please note: some lifting, climbing, and moving of boxes is required on the job.
