| JD Edwards Programmer Job Type: Contract Location/Region: Mississauga JD Edwards EDI SQL Job Details: • Administration of JDE system including: fat/thin client setup, administration of enterprise/deployment/terminal servers, ensuring user profile setup/security, conducting package builds and deployments. Leads development process for internal and external stakeholders. • Analysis/Design/Implementation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems including: understanding business to business relationships, communicating with B2B partners to design data translation strategy, implementation of GIS mappings, monitoring daily transmissions, maintenance of documentation. Also trains staff on EDI system and communicates with US sites on integration strategies. • Responsible for JD Edwards’ system administration tasks including manually fixing system issues, such as: duplicating line issue, error SO status. Recommends process and control solutions to minimize risk. • Monitor data conversion among JD Edwards, RFSmart and ScanCode. Implement manual data transfer among these systems occasionally. • Maintain and create accurate and up-to-date documentations for all routine jobs, working procedures and troubleshooting records. • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate to vendor if further investigation is required. Coordinate and support vendors to accomplish the bug fix. Skills and Experience Required: • University Degree – with specialization in Computer Science • 3 - 5 years experience Business Analysis with a programming background • Experience in designing and coding event driven applications using GUI elements (Windows Forms, AWT/Swing) • Proficient in functional and object oriented programming languages (e.g. VB, C, C++, C#, Java) with integration with SQL technologies (Oracle, MS-SQL) • Proficient in database server administration (MS-SQL, Oracle) • Understanding of JDE ERP system including CNC and Functional Support roles • Understanding of EDI concepts and technologies including JDE EDI module. • Ability to deal with multiple tasks • Detail oriented, confident and self-motivated to learn new technology • Good communication with a variety of internal and external clients | |
