| Shipping and Receiving Clerk POSITION SUMMARY This position is accountable to the Corporate Parts Supervisor and will be responsible for shipping and receiving in accordance with established Company procedures and guidelines. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Unpack parts received Verify receipts and packing slips Place stock on shelves Checks outgoing orders for quantity, correct material, weight and proper address markings. Prepares bills of lading Checks all incoming stock against packing slip or copy of P.O. to ensure weight, part number, etc. are correct. Routes incoming material to appropriate department/location. Verifies inventory, enters orders, using computer terminal. Picks orders; allocates inventory; replenishes shelves. Handles customer enquiries/orders over the phone, or at Parts Order Desk. Carries-out housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and orderly environment. Provides assistance and support as required for all activities and functions in the warehouse including physical inventory counts and material return receiving. KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required Provincial forklift license is an asset, experience is a must Demonstrated customer relations ability Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills Excellent organizational and planning skills Detail oriented Motivation and team spirit, must be able to work extremely well within a team Able to lift 70lbs comfortably, safety focused and a self-starter who takes pride in a job well done Computer literate with Microsoft products Experience with a computerized inventory control system is not necessary but would be considered an asset. | |
