| Seismic Structural Engineer Seismic Structural Engineer COMPANY PROFILE: Located in Mississauga, our client had extensive experience in designing and manufacturing products to control sound and vibration. With 50 years in the industry, they produce the industry’s largest selection of innovative products to address and control vibration and noise. BENEFITS: Full time position Salary: Starting at $65,000 plus yearly bonus Benefits include: Medical, Drug Plan, Dental, Vision RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Seeking a professional Seismic/Structural Restrain Engineer. The ideal candidate will have structural Engineering background. They will have working knowledge of the OBC code. Provide layout and estimate for seismic restraint systems for piping, equipment and related building systems Prepare stamped drawings and conduct site conformance inspections Meet with customers, contractors and code authorities Exercise sound and prudent judgment in executing decisions, factoring safety, appropriateness and value Serve as a project manager on larger projects Training will be provided on software and position REQUIREMENTS: Must be a P.Eng, licensed in Ontario Engineering Degree Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in a discipline or specialty Structural engineering design and seismic design experience in commercial/institutional/industrial buildings or structures Familiarity with local, national and North American seismic codes Highly experienced in finite element techniques MUST HAVE experience in Ansys and other finite element software Familiar with current NRC licensing criteria and procedures relative to seismic analysis and soil structure interaction Must have excellent spoken, written and presentation skills High level of analytical ability where problems are difficult, complex engineering issues Anyone interested in this position must submit their resume in confidence by email | |
