Maui Jim Sunglasses seeks Operations Manager

ALOHA! Maui Jim Inc, America’s fastest growing maker of premium quality, polarized sunglasses is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee, execute and run all aspects of the Maui Jim Distribution satellite office located in Mississauga, Ontario. Maui Jim is an international corporation with offices in 12 countries, composing of over 500 employees. This position will report directly to our CFO, located in our corporate office in the USA.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
1. Manage and supervise the Distribution Center team, composing of 10 to 15 employees. Build a positive team and family spirit in an environment that is productive, fun, friendly, and full of Aloha.
2. Motivate and lead the DC team to provide outstanding customer service to our customers, co-workers, vendors and partners. Look at ways to differentiate Maui Jim from the competition by providing service that WOWs.
a) Manage the sunglass repair process. Maintain efficient turn around time and provide unique customer service. Follow Maui Jim standards.
b) Oversee the shipping and receiving functions of the Distribution Center. Manage the processing, preparation, and packaging all sunglass orders for shipment. Ensure orders in by 3 pm go out the same day.
c) Monitor and analyze all credits and returns issued. Ensure credits and returns are performed in accordance with Maui Jim policy together with the help of the warehouse team.
d) Monitor and review the accounts receivable aging report and work together with accounts to collect past due balances. Develop partnership with accounts to foster strong working relationships.
3. Continue to develop the education and learning of the Distribution Center staff. Cross-train and prepare team for future growth.
4. Partner with the Sales Manager to develop one team to strategically execute a plan to grow a profitable operation.
5. Perform and communicate all weekly and monthly reports to Maui Jim USA.
6. Perform the yearly budget. Compare and explain actual vs. budget variances on a quarterly basis.
7. Oversee general day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center to provide outstanding customer service to all customers and accounts.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
College degree preferred with a minimum 6-8 years of management experience. Inventory management and consumer product movement expertise required. Bi-lingual French and English skills are an added benefit. Industry knowledge is preferred.
