OS&D ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK – Leave of absence contract

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• investigate and research all OS&D related issues;
• assist dock workers in locating freight and determining root causes of nonconforming shipments;
• review all manifests that may detail any OS&D concerns;
• print missing bills;
• enter OS&D freight into the AS400;
• complete missing freight checklist and then scan under the pro number;
• take pictures of nonconforming freight (damaged) and download pictures into the system;
• complete inspection reports of damaged freight;
• issue all exception reports to central OS&D on a daily basis via fax machine;
• any exceptions that have been entered into the AS400 system, the dirty bill of lading (DBOL) needs to be scanned;
• exceptions that are noted on the manifest need to be entered into the system and then scanned and filed;
• respond to OS&D e-mail issues within half hour and then enter F11 comments;
• scan bills of lading.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- minimum of a college diploma or equivalent work experience within the industry in a directly related field;
- knowledge of OS&D and the claims process;
- must be able to work well with others;
- strong interpersonal and human relation skills;
- capable of working with minimal supervision;
- attention to detail;
- order entry skills – input data quickly and accurately;
- good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks;
- must be able to multi-task;
- good communication skills & telephone manner;
- computer literate.
