Video/IP Systems Engineer Video/IP Systems Engineer COMPANY PROFILE: Our client is a worldwide leader in IP-based video communication and collaboration services, with offices in the United States, Canada, UK, Hong Kong and China. We are currently conducting a search for a Video/IP Systems Engineer. Highly skilled and innovative Video/IP Systems Engineer will play a key role in delivering cutting edge video technologies on a global basis as part of a managed video conference offering. We are looking for a team player with demonstrated success in creating and delivering video services. If you have a solid foundation in video systems engineering and a track record of implementing and optimizing global video conferencing solutions, including high definition and telepresense, then we want to speak with you. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering video/IP technology and improving the quality of existing video systems solutions, developing next generation video systems integrated solutions, working with display technologies, working on Quality of Service issues for H.323 and SIP networks, and engaging in various other activities in an effort to innovate and enhance video functionality and quality. We work in a fast paced environment with numerous priorities at any given time. It is essential that the successful candidate be a self starter, prioritize work items effectively, require minimal supervision, anticipate issues and provide solutions proactively. You must be prepared to embrace the challenges and culture of a rapidly evolving small company and, most importantly, effectively communicate with peers and other business leaders and stakeholders. BENEFITS: Full time position Compensation dependent upon experience Group benefits coverage REQUIREMENTS: Design, configure, deploy and support IP Backbone and Video infrastructure in global Points of Presence 3rd level support of the production Video infrastructure Develop and execute on strategic imperatives that deliver a best in class video experience to our customer base. Understand and evaluate the latest technologies available in the marketplace Manage activities and relationships with associated Video Systems/AV vendors and manufactures Work directly with Management and End-Users to determine current and future needs, evaluate and test technologies to meet service descriptions Responsible for development and delivery of video Systems End-User and Technical Support training. EXPERIENCE: Three to five (3-5) or more years experience in video conferencing technologies (e.g. CISCo Tandberg, Polycom, Radvision, Codian) including room/desktop systems, MCU’s, Gateway, and Gatekeeper systems. Three to five (3-5) or more years experience in carrier class IP Network Backbone Design, Implementation, Management, Trouble Shooting and Evolution. Solid understanding of IP and ISDN networks. Solid understanding of and experience with videoconferencing standards including (but not limited to) H.323, SIP & H.460 Solid experience with audio and video in a video conferencing environment. Sound usage of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX systems. Depth and understanding in IP Routing technologies & deployments, e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS VPNs. Effective mentoring skills, distributing knowledge to other stakeholders (E.g.
